A lot of characters in kids' books have it pretty good, from calling the start of the wild rumpus to ordering room service from their hotel suite. If you could be any character from children's literature, who would you be?
One of the highlights of going to a literary festival is hearing authors read from their own works. What author, living or dead, would you most like to hear read?
31 weeks since my last post - 31 weeks of utter crapness >_< Not much to say other than I lost my job, my ex has been sentenced for assaulting me (there's a nice collection of police photographs of me being black and blue), and I nearly cut my finger off in a freak drunken-washing-up accident. Oh, and I've been drunk. Very, very drunk lots.
I have a pet lobster! Actually I'm thinking he may be more of a tropical blue crayfish, but claws are claws. He eats sea monkeys and catfish pellets and shed his shell on my birthday a couple of days ago (which really scared the crap out of me). It was my mum's funeral yesterday and it actually went pretty well as far as funerals go. I read a poem by Jim Morrison and it was probably the weirdest experience of my life. Well, not back at work until the 4th March so I'm rather enjoying getting paid to sit on my arse drinking wine and watching Boston Legal with card0! Oh, and my T.V blew up last night but it's ok - I'm getting a new one today.
I've had a really cool week other than being really bloody ill on Thursday (I nearly passed out at work, had to sit on the floor in the middle of the shop and couldn't smell even the most potent of bath bombs). An old friend (who I have a bit of a history with) came back to Colchester for the week and stayed with me on Tuesday night, cue brilliant Chinese food from Mayflower, lots of pink wine, 'Family Guy' and 'Howl's Moving Castle' - beautiful!
On Wednesday I saw Kat and her little cutie watermelon, then spent the evening at the Hole. Didn't realize I was pissed until I stood up and nearly fell over.
Friday I was sent to the Regent St. Lush for my skincare training which was cool, got loads of freebies which is always a bonus: My bathroom now resembles a mini Lush! I woke up yesterday feeling like crap but went into town anyway, had a few drinks and pizza etc. The rugby result was a bit naff - were England actually even trying? So... Back to work tomorrow and looking forward to going to Kent next month to see Pip ^_^

Last night I went to the Hole In The Wall to watch spl1t1nf1n1t1v3 play at the open mic night, and my God that man rocked! Also saw card0 and had a chat which was cool. I ended up staying out with my Jedi Master (The Boz) and we had a nice bottle of red wine while watching old Skid Row videos on youtube ^_^ Today I went to work and really enjoyed it. I came out of there, went to Spar just to say hey to The Hippie, and he told me I smelled of Lush! My mum said the same thing too! Oh well, at least I'll smell nice after work (and be covered in glitter)...
I only bloody went and found myself the job I wanted at Lush! Heard yesterday so hence dangerous cocktails at the What? bar with my kind-of-male-but-not-together and The Hippie. Yes, I have no willpower whatsoever. I suck, haha! Does anybody else find that bottles of Grolsch tend to spurt all over them? I wonder if it's just me this happens to... Franky and I had our "joint" tattoo done by the fabulous Martin this morning. Yin for me, Yang for Franky ^_^ So generally I'm a bit good. And the spell that my kind-of-male-but-not-together cast has obviously done something great because I am feeling better than I have been in a while. Things might actually be looking peachy!

Oooooh! *squishes face in a display of irritation* People are bastards. Well, The Hippie isn't a bastard. Nor is Pink Nik. Nor is jussard or Franky. But generally people are being a bit rubbish at the moment. I am currently planning my rock musical that shall star everybody as themselves. The Hippie and I have already envisioned a song entitled 'The A to Z of Megumi's Men'. W00t indeed! I am going against the sage advice of Pink Nik and am meeting up with my unsuitable (but not totally unrequited) male of crush tomorrow. Restraint, Meg. It's all about willpower!
